Heather Tennant

Graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario, Heather established Therapeutic Mobility in 1996. Prior to this, she spent 5 years with the Canadian Back Institute, eventually becoming the Regional Director of Clinical Services for the Metro Toronto Region. In addition to her practical experience, Heather has pursued advanced training including;

  • chronic pain techniques,
  • orthopaedics and manual therapy,
  • acupuncture,
  • sports injury, and
  • complex injury rehabilitation

Therapeutic Mobility is the exclusive FITforeGOLF affiliate clinic in the Simcoe County Region; providing professional and recreational golfers’ key programs to recover from and prevent injuries, while improving power and swing techniques.

 


Shannon Michels
B.H.Sc.(P.T.), B.Sc. (Kin), FCAMT, CAFCI
Registered Physiotherapist
Diploma in Manipulative Therapy

Shannon Michels graduated from the McMaster University physiotherapy program in 2006 and also holds a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.

Her clinical interests include;

  • cervicogenic headaches,
  • spinal dysfunction, and
  • shoulder stability issues.

Shannon is currently a credentialing instructor with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, is actively involved in mentoring within the Manual Therapy system and is the Secretary-Treasurer with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists which oversees the manual therapy education programs in Canada.

Shannon’s sport therapy experience includes working with the University of Waterloo varsity program with teams including hockey, football and rugby.

 


Lindsay Pleasance
M.Sc.(P.T.), Hons. B.Sc.(Bio-med)
Registered Physiotherapist

Lindsay graduated from McMaster University in 2008 with her Masters in Physiotherapy, where she received the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada award for excellence in research. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph in 2005.

Lindsay has pursued post -graduate training in the areas including;

  • orthopaedic manual therapy,
  • acupuncture,
  • the Mulligan concept and sports medicine.

Lindsay has a special interest in sport injury, as well as conditions involving the cervical and lumbar spine.

 


Gloria O’Sullivan
B.Sc.(PT)

Gloria graduated from Dalhousie University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Since her graduation she has worked in a variety of settings including community hospitals, home care, and private physiotherapy clinics. To go along with her wealth of clinical experience she has also stayed current with many post-graduate courses in:

  • Orthopaedics and manual therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Lumbar assessment – McKenzie system

Gloria has a special interest in shoulders, post-surgical rehabilitation and providing excellence in patient education. She stays very busy with family activities and running, including recently training for a half marathon.

 


Jill Becker
M.Sc.(PT), Hons.B.Kin

Jill received her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2008 from Queens University. She also completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, earning Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Pre-Health Professions Option in 2005.

Since graduation, Jill has continued to develop her skill set and areas of knowledge as a physiotherapist. Her post-graduate courses include:

  • orthopaedic manual therapy,
  • soft tissue release,
  • acupuncture,
  • postural taping and sports medicine

Jill has a special interest in working with sports injuries, specifically the shoulder and the knee. She enjoys having an active lifestyle with a history of competitive dancing and swimming.

 


Cheryl Reid
B.Sc.P.T., MCPA
Registered Physiotherapist

Cheryl graduated from Queen’s University Physical Therapy Program in 2003, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.

She holds a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and has pursued training in:
• Basic, Advanced and Masters level Bobath technique
• CranioSacral Therapy
• Vestibular Rehabilitation

Cheryl is skilled in the treatment of the neurologically impaired client, including but not exclusive to brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.

 


Kerri Fullerton
B.Sc, Naturopathic Doctor

Kerri received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University in Guelph in 1999. She completed the four-year full-time program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Kerri is a registered ND in the province of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Kerri has an eclectic practice and enjoys working with a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic. She has a special interest in the treatment of infertility and recurrent miscarriages.

Kerri is a runner and enjoys an active lifestyle with her family. She has a history of sport in swimming, track, and hockey.

 

 


Ryan Shea
M.Sc(PT), Hons. B. Kin., CAFCI
Registered Physiotherapist

Ryan graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2006. Since graduation, Ryan has continued his development through advanced programs including;

  • orthopedic manual and manipulative therapy,
  • acupuncture,
  • the McKenzie method of lumbar spine evaluation and treatment, and
  • vestibular rehabilitation.

Clinically, Ryan has a special interest in spinal pathologies, the shoulder, the jaw, and sports medicine. He is actively involved with and provides clinical support for a number local junior sports teams.

Alyssa Moreau
BAHSc , CAT(C)
Certified Athletic Therapist

Alyssa graduated from Sheridan College with her Bachelors of Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy) and received the Loi Quach Memorial Scholarship in 2011. She is currently working on completing her Masters of Rehabilitation Sciences through McMaster University. Alyssa has a special interest in working with sports injuries and lower body conditions. She has worked with numerous sports teams, including Sheridan College Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Soccer teams.
